September Holiday

Perhaps you have noticed that it was slightly quieter at my blog but I’m just back from a wonderful ten day September holiday. We have spent five days in Alicante and five days in Nice. We made beautiful walks with only interruptions by delicious lunches and a few hours on the beach to let rest the tired feet a little bit and find refreshment in the clear blue water.

The evenings were filled with delicious dinners. In Alicante I enjoyed the most delicious lasagna and in Nice a wonderful steak tartare. The next days we filled with strolling through the old streets and across the Esplanada d’Espana, a boulevard with bars, cafés and shops and lazy afternoons on the beach. The result:hundreds of photos!!

In Nice, I did research for my book that I’m writing. During the many walks I have visited the locations which play a role in my book and let me move in the story this way. I love to step into the shoes of the main character and to live her life for a moment.

And now I’m sitting at my desk and look at the cloudy sky and shivering.

Only during the hours that I work on my book, I will move me into the life on the Cote d’Azur ….
