Parisian Hotspot in Rotterdam
One of the things which I love to do is to discover “Parisian inspired” places in Holland. Two weeks ago I discovered a Parisian hotspot in Rotterdam on a Saturday afternoon.
I don’t live far from Rotterdam so I spend much time in this city which has so many to offer for everyone’s interest. Architecture, museums, the port, many shops and wonderful addresses to rest the feet 🙂
My husband and I walked a different way then we normally do. We crossed the Coolsingel and took the Meent route, a street full of wonderful shops like Profuomo, Nikkie, American Vintage, Replay, Nespresso, State of the Art, Smaak Amsterdam and the famous ice salon “de IJssalon” which I can highly recommend.
You also cross the Saturday market which I always an happening and I had to visit more because of the variety of products and prices. But now we felt a little bit hungry so we decided to go straight to the Parisian hotspot, called “Brasserie Pierre”. When we entered the brasserie, I felt that I was in Paris immediately. The interior is very French, with small round tables close together, wooden chairs and leather couches. I loved the photos on the menu and the many delights which were on it. I couldn’t chose, till I saw that they had “steak tartare”. Steak tartare is a dish which I don’t order everywhere because it is raw meat. But here, in this Parisian setting, I had to order it and I could say that I enjoyed it to the fullest. My husband chose the goat cheese baquette which looks delicious too.
Brasserie Pierre is a very crowded place and we were lucky that we had a beautiful table with a streetview. I enjoyed the “Parisian” atmosphere and I could imagine that we were in Paris that hour and not in Rotterdam 🙂 It is a place which we will visit regularly, for a drink, lunch or dinner to get that Parisian feeling!
