Friday Favorite | Eau de Toilette Pivoine by Fragonard
When I was killing time at Nice airport two weeks ago, the eau de toilette Pivoine by Fragonard caught my eye immediately.
I am a huge admirer of Fragonard, the famous perfume house from Grasse. Many years ago, I visited this factory. It was very interesting to learn more about the process of creating perfumes.
The peony flower is Fragonard’s flower of the year. The peony is one of my favorite flowers. Fragonard writes on its website: The Peony expresses the contradictions of a woman’s soul, the complexity of her feelings and the modesty of her emotions…
A soft and gentle creation, Fragonard’s Peony fragrance emanates fruity redcurrant, rhubarb, and mock orange notes. Its heart notes of three peonies (pink, red and white) rest on notes of iris, musk, and amber. Its delicate fragrance has inspired a range of perfumed products, available as a limited edition.
This fragrance brings me back to hot summer days at the Cote d’Azur. Strolls along the Promenade des Anglais. The sounds of the cicadas. Long lazy afternoons on the beach. Exploring medieval villages….It brings nice memories and that’s why I call this perfume my Friday Favorite!
What’s your favorite perfume and why?
