Book: Een dame in Parijs (The Velvet Hours) – Alyson Richman

This time I will write about a book which will be published tomorrow in the Netherlands “Een dame in Parijs (The Velvet Hours) – Alyson Richman.

The English version,”The Velvet Hours”, will be published September 2016.

I couldn’t wait for this book, because of the subject. Earlier, I wrote about the apartment which was discovered after 70 years. This books is based on the owner of this apartment, Marthe de Florian and her granddaughter Solange Beaugiron (who is the writer of Gloria 1971). Review Bright Lights Paris – Angie Niles

I love to read about Paris, to make a list of new addresses and to learn more about the background of the Parisian life. With a cup of tea, I enjoyed a few hours in Paris on my couch pasting sticky notes on dozens of pages.
