5 Reasons to visit the French Riviera

I am so happy, because into four weeks I am strolling on the Promenade des Anglais, sipping my morning coffee on the Cours Saleya and taking the train to one of the beautiful villages on the Cote d’Azur! This part of France is one of my favorite and I am looking forward to explore it again and to discover new things on this wonderful coast. It is a beautiful part of France and in this post I will give you 5 reasons to visit the French Riviera!

The region receives 300 days of sun shine per year.

This is one of the reasons why I love to escape to the Cote d’Azur. To stroll in the sun, to discover new places…I feel very happy when I am at the French Riviera!

Nice is the biggest city of the region

And one of my most favorite city. That’s why I am always staying in Nice and always in the same hotel in the center of Nice. Nice has so much to offer: the old part (Vieille Ville) and the beaches for some relaxation. You can easily take the train or the bus to explore the villages around the city.

The Cote d’Azur has so much to offer for everyone

If you love shopping, history, arts, music, sports or just doing nothing, there are plenty possibilities. Museums, shops, water sports activities, and beaches. I love to take the train to the villages around Nice, just like Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Eze or Menton. You can travel to Italy for one day. I can highly recommend San Remo.

The Food

The French Riviera has its own food specialties, just like the “socca”, Tarte Tropezienne and Salade Nicoise. Last year I tasted my first Tarte Tropezienne and I can’t wait for another one! Another favorite dish of mine is the famous “steak tartare” with fries and crème Brulee as dessert. In another blogpost, I will share my addresses with you! So stay tuned!

My plans

I will be five whole days in Nice and I haven’t made so many plans. We will see what comes our way!
