Pray For Nice...and The Whole World

Pray For Nice… and the whole world

Eight months ago, I wrote this blogpost, after the attacks in Paris, and unfortunately, I have to write another, but now about Nice.

Nice has, just like Paris, a special place in my heart. It’s the city which I love to visit in September each year. To stroll around the old town, to eat pissaladiere. To enjoy breakfast at the Cours Saleya. To enjoy the view of the hill. Tto enjoy a couple of hours on the beach. To stroll on the Promenade des Anglais…..the place where the attack took place yesterday evening after the firework on Bastille Day.

The day to celebrate freedom…..

What happened to this world? When will we feel the love again?

Je suis tres tres triste….

My thoughts go out to all people in France. La douce France feels like a second home for me. My heart is broken…..

Again…

Summer Fashion Inspiration

Summer Fashion Inspiration

Summer Fashion Inspiration

Lately I often went to go shopping for my new summer fashion inspiration. Besides of writing and photographing, shopping is one of my favorite things! I love to discover new shops and new brands and to feel the materials and get excited when I see something what’s on my wishlist.  This time I shopped very “safely”. I went to the H&M, C&A and I shopped at Zara on Lanzarote (where the shops are no mess :)) and I bought a beautiful timeless trenchcoat at the Bijenkorf (a wonderful Dutch department store which you can compare with Galeries Lafayette).

5 Things I will Do This Summer

5 Things I will Do This Summer

5 Things I will Do This Summer

The summer season has started and I am looking forward to these wonderful months, with hopefully a lot of sun and long days fulfilled with inspiring things. I love these summer months, because life takes more outside and I really love that! Another thing is the weather (hopefully it will get better, because last weeks, the weather was very bad!). I love the sunrises in the early morning, which promises a beautiful day ahead and gives me a very positive feeling when the alarm clock goes off and that it’s time to go out bed!

The summer dishes: a lot of salads, the summer fruits, the BBQ’s, eating outside at home or at a terrace, yes, I can really appreciate that! Enjoying nature, reading a good book in the sun, sport a little bit (I really have to start again :)) and the magic word this summer will be: ENJOY!

  1. Blogging! I want to write more articles ahead. I have so much inspiration at the moment, so that will not be a problem at all 🙂 I will learn more about the SEO. That was one of my blog goals this year, so I hope I can realize that!
  2. Exploring Amsterdam to discover new hotspots. It’s been a while that I spend time in Amsterdam and that sound not like me. I really miss the city vibe there. I love to stroll through the city and get inspired by new things (and to share with you!)
  3. Holiday. In September I will travel again. This time we will spend five days in Alicante and five days in Nice. I am looking forward to it!
  4. Writing. I will spend more time on my book because I would like to finish it before the end of this year!
  5. Enjoying. I want to enjoy the summer days, at terraces, in our lovely garden, in Amsterdam :), on the beach, the little things, bike riding, more sports.

What are your plans this summer?

Parisienne Diary | Sundays in Paris

Dear readers,

Sundays in Paris are wonderful in my opinion. Saturdays are often very busy with running errands, but Sundays are mostly very quiet and I really love that!

What do I on Sundays when I am in Paris? It depends on what I did the night before :), but when I was home in time, I sleep till nine o’clock and have breakfast. Sometimes I have breakfast at home when I have a baguette over of the day before, sometimes I enjoy my breakfast in a café, such as Frenchie to go.

After breakfast, we go to our homes and I work a bit. Reading magazines, writing articles, pinning on Pinterest (I have a little addiction to it) and cleaning up my little apartment. Washing, ironing…that kind of thing I didn’t like, but have to do…
