Parisian Springtime

Parisian Springtime

Dreaming about a Parisian springtime

What is nicer then dreaming about a Parisian springtime… at this moment I am staring out the window, where the raindrops coming down and I really long for Spring.

What I love the most about Spring? The start of the flowering trees and especially the cherry blossoms. I can’t get enough of them.  Strolling through the city and capturing the most beautiful cherry blossoms. I love the pink fluffy little flowers and their delicious smell that spreads through the streets. Blue skies, higher temperatures, the Parisian are strolling through the streets. The thick winter coats are replaced by the trenchcoats. The terraces are full with happy people, tourists jogging around city sights…the city is alive after a cold long winter. Longer days to enjoy every hour of this incredible city.

Europe’s biggest Vintage Event

Europe's biggest Vintage Event

Europe’s biggest Vintage Event

In the weekend of 16 and 17 April, Europe’s biggest Vintage Event took place in Utrecht. It was my first visit to this event in the Jaarbeurs with more than 2000 stands with a huge diversity of vintage, retro and antiques collections. The funniest thing was, that I had won two tickets for this event! My husband and I took the train on this grey and windy Saturday morning, to go on vintage treasure hunting!

Spring and Summer Favorites Tag

Spring and Summer Favorites Tag

On the blog of Thirteen Thoughts, I read the Spring and Summer Favorites Tag and because these are my two favorite seasons of the year, it was a real pleasure to answer these lovely questions.

Spring and Summer Favorites Tag

Favorite perfume

Sun by Jil Sander. This perfume is one of my favorites for years now! I also collect the limited editions each year.

Favorite lipcolor

Rouge Coco Shine of Coco Chanel. It’s a beautiful summer color!

Favorite drink

Orangina and cocos water. Orangina gives me sometimes a nostalgic feeling of the summers I’ve spend in France and I tasted it for the first time. Cocos water is lovely when you are thirsty!

Favorite blush

I don’t use blush 🙂

Spring Feeling

Spring Feeling

Spring feeling!

After a week of rainy, grey and cold weather and not feeling well, there was my Spring feeling. It started with more sun on Saturday and on Sunday, I enjoyed a couple of hours in the garden. It was lovely I can say.

When the sun shines and the temperatures are higher, I “throw off” the winter of me and I don’t want to be remembered about these last months 🙂 Just kidding! Winter can be lovely, to relax at home, with a good book, watch a movie and enjoy the cosines, but not for too long (for me!).

Living

I love to live outside, just like in the South of France or Spain. To wake up by birds chirping in the early morning (I love to wake up early to have a long day!), to smell the fresh air of the cherry blossoms, to see the sunset and to know it’s a brand new day! I love to have my oatmeal breakfast with a cup of coffee and to make plans for this new day. To visit a market, to have lunch at that new café, to stroll around in the city, to shop new clothes, to enjoy a drink at a terrace, to visit an exhibition, to have dinner till the sun sets….

A lovely picture isn’t it?

Looking forward to…

In a few weeks my holiday will start and I am looking forward to have a plenty of time to work more on my book, to enjoy the Spanish sun, to see new things and to think about new plans (I always do that when I am on holidays, do you?).

I will share a couple of pictures of how I spend the first spring days. I hope, the weather will be better from now on, that we can enjoy it to the fullest!

What’s your favorite thing to do during Spring?

Parisienne Diary | Dear readers

Parisienne Diary dear readers

The Parisienne Diary is a fictional person. You can read here more information about the Parisienne Diary stories.

Dear readers,

The first page in my Parisienne diary, dear readers! Nice to meet you! This is my first diary post and I will dedicate this post to tell about myself. My name is Claudia and I am 28 years old (is this too old to start a diary for the very first time?) I live in Paris , but I am born in Holland. My mother married a Dutch man and moved to Holland after their wedding. I have a sister, Celeste and she lives in Amsterdam and an old auntie who is living in Paris. The name of my best friend in Paris is  Milou and in Amsterdam Margot, we chat almost everyday and sometimes she comes over for a weekend. You’ll meet her here soon 🙂

So, what I am doing in everyday life? I work at a magazine, titled “Elodie”. I write most about lifestyle, travel and fashion. I am often on the road in Paris and sometimes in other cities of France. I started as an intern, but they were so satisfied that I got a full contract, I was so happy, I celebrated with my friends the same evening in a bar. I am very happy with this job because I met some interesting creative people. Besides of this job, I am dreaming about to have an own store in vintage clothes. Maybe one day…
